Acquarica's late-summer Marian feast, with a procession and traditional civic celebrations linked to the chapel and local devotion to the Madonna del Ponte.
Why we created it
The devotion centres on the chapel outside the old settlement and its 1759 wooden statue of the child Mary. Local tradition remembers the image as having survived a violent 18th-century flood; the present building, begun in 1901 and inaugurated in 1924, became the focus of the procession, fair and celebrations that symbolically close Acquarica's summer.
